Great stay with some hiccups

We had a fun two-night family trip! The kids loved the pool and arcade, a nice switch from camping. Breakfast was tasty—muffins and coffee were on point! But, the room could've used a good clean. The service felt a bit off when we checked in, which was kinda disappointing.

The building has charm, and my kids enjoyed the indoor activities. They always found something to do, which kept them entertained after long days. I appreciated the friendly demeanor of the staff present during my stay despite the evident challenges they faced.

I was disturbed by a late-night gathering in the pool area. It was loud, made me feel unsafe, and my room door was faulty. I also faced issues with amenities like towels not being available and breakfast options being scarce.

Oh man, the chocolate croissants were to die for! They were flakey and buttery, a true delight! Plus, the pool area was a hit for the kids, especially with the jungle gym addition—total score for family fun! The staff were just doing their best under pressure, giving that extra warmth in a tough spot.

But hold up, the room was freezing, and they tossed us a couple of extra blankets that didn't quite cut it. And can we talk about faulty room doors? It felt like a scene out of a horror flick. Still, nothing could totally dim the sparkle of Alpena.

I enjoyed my stay while visiting local attractions. The indoor pool area was a hit for the kids, especially with the jungle gym, which provided lots of entertainment. The chocolate croissants at breakfast were absolutely delicious! However, the room was a bit chilly, and we struggled with a faulty door that made us uneasy. Overall, it was a decent experience that kept the family happy.

The King Room was surprisingly cozy. Everything felt clean and new because they're remodeling, which was a plus. It was spacious enough and had good amenities like a fridge and microwave. The bed was comfy, but I wish the heating worked better. it was a bit chilly at first. Overall, a pretty solid stay for the price.

I loved how the room was comfortable and the pool area was super clean during my stay. The indoor swimming pool and spa center were fantastic ways to unwind after a long day. On the downside, the breakfast options could've been a bit better, but it didn’t ruin my experience! 🙂

the hot tub was not safe which is a big deal it almost got my kid but on a positive note the arcade was pretty fun and the staff were nice and helpful and our room had a good shower

My stay at Ramada was quite positive, especially with the updated decor and amenities. The room was very clean and comfortable, meeting all of my business needs. I appreciated the availability of a 24-hour business center and free Wi-Fi, which allowed me to maintain productivity during my trip. The staff was accommodating, assisting whenever needed.

i had a great stay at ramada! my king room was cozy, quiet, and clean. breakfast had a good selection, and the front desk clerk, lisa martell, was super friendly and helpful. also, the sauna was a nice touch for relaxing. it's conveniently located near several attractions as well, making it easy to explore.

great access to parks and marine sanctuaries for weekend strolls

I loved how close the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary was, allowing for beautiful walks by the water, and just a short stroll to Bay View Park, where I enjoyed a peaceful afternoon surrounded by nature.

This place suits me perfectly with its free parking, 24-hour reception, and indoor swimming pool. Staff were very helpful on my first stay, recommending a local taxi and always ready to assist. I’m coming back for Christmas!
